Two Ways to Address a Record

Criminal Rehabilitation

Once approved, criminal rehabilitation is permanent. You can generally apply once at least 5 years have passed since your full sentence, including probation, was completed.

Temporary Resident Permit (TRP)

Granted case by case for a specific period, based on your reason for travel. Depending on your situation, you may qualify for a TRP before you're eligible for criminal rehabilitation.

This preliminary check provides general guidance based on the information you provide. It is not a legal determination or guarantee of eligibility, approval, admissibility, entry, employment clearance, processing time, or any government decision. Final eligibility depends on your individual circumstances and applicable government requirements.
